The Porongurup Wine Region of Western Australia
Porongurup
The Porongurup National Park is the smallest national park in Australia, known as the place where the tree in the rock grows, and is carpeted with hundreds of different varieties of wildflowers in the Spring, many found nowhere else in the world. The Porongurups are a physical landmark of impressive size and beauty. The elevated slopes and cool climate of the Porongurups produce a range of high quality wines, and the subregion enjoys a reputation for its outstanding Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Pinot Noir.
